How we Help

Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to… go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage – to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.

1 Timothy 6:18-19

Learn More

We support a diverse network of charities and programs.

  • Education

We provide scholarships to top educational centres in the Lower Mainland of BC that influence the development of women preparing to enter the workforce. We provide bursaries for underprivileged girls and boys so that they can learn and grow in quality school environments.

  • Social Services

We provide the opportunity for current programs and initiatives to grow and develop, allowing them to better serve community members. From food programs to alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities, our involvement influences a diverse collection of projects.

  • Expanding Your Reach and Impacting Society

Through grants we help organizations create change that benefits marginalized people groups in Canada and abroad. We work with registered Canadian charities that have the potential to impact current governmental policies and procedures.

  • Health Services and Housing

We work with organizations and initiatives dedicated to providing low-income individuals and families with healthcare and housing services, while they get the care and treatment they need.

What others have to say

  • The Burnaby Safe House

My mom and I fled looking for safety. Your counsellor spent hours with us – listening, working through our tears. Your shelter is filled with love and acceptance. Sadly, we’ve had to stay in many shelters. However, please know we’ve never stayed in such a warm, safe, and comforting home.Mr. WordPress

The Burnaby Safe House is a confidential residence associated with the Christian Advocacy Society of Greater Vancouver. It offers shelter for abused women and their children, and for vulnerable pregnant women. The Tamara Foundation has provided grants towards this program for over 25 years.

  • Emily Pritchard

Capital Campaign, Director // Covenant House Vancouver

Covenant House Vancouver relies on the support of donors like The Tamara Foundation to fight against the crisis of homelessness. By giving homeless youth a fresh start and a source of unconditional love and absolute respect, Covenant House Vancouver is more than just a shelter or transitional housing. At Covenant House young people always have a place to call home and a family that genuinely cares for them. Thank you to The Tamara Foundation for standing with Covenant House Vancouver and homeless youth.Mr. WordPress

The Tamara Foundation has pledged $80,000 to the capital campaign of the Covenant House for a new building in Vancouver, BC for homeless youth.

  • Graham Roxburgh

Head Coach, Women’s Soccer Program // Trinity Western University

What a privilege and blessing to partner with the Tamara Foundation in working together to impact the lives of many students, children and communities over the past few years. Our women’s soccer team, through the impact of the Tamara Foundation has been able to touch the lives of hundreds of youth, especially girls who have had less opportunity to play sports, or be involved in such transformational opportunities that our trips have helped facilitate. Through our partnership, and the generousity of the Tamara Foundation, we have been able to bring hope, joy, and God’s love to many, many people and communities, including the lives of the female student athletes who have been part of the projects. Thank you Tamara Foundation for all the transformational impact that you have assisted with in and through our women’s team over the past decadeMr. WordPress

Trinity Western is a private university in Langley, BC. The Spartan Foundation was created to raise money for TWU’s athletic programs to be able to offer more financial support for student-athletes. Scholarships facilitate the recruitment of some of Canada’s top athletes that may not be able to afford the tuition otherwise.

  • Steve Scholz

    Executive Director // Spartan Foundation

We are so thankful for the support and encouragement of the Tamara Foundation over the years, as we have seen many lives of disadvantaged female-athletes at TWU be changed and impacted. This scholarship support has made many dreams come true as it has provided the opportunity to receive a post-secondary education while competing at the highest level of university sport in Canada. Many of these women would not have had this chance to grow, develop, become leaders and impact our community and society, if it were not for this support.Mr. WordPress
